"I started Play It Forward because I believe every kid deserves the chance to play—regardless of what their family can afford. The idea was inspired by a moment that stuck with me, something I call 'the bug.' It was a small experience, but it changed the way I look at leadership and responsibility. As a student-athlete, I’ve seen how quickly the cost of sports equipment adds up, and how easily that cost can keep talented, hardworking kids on the sidelines. I didn’t want that to be the reason someone misses out on being part of a team. Play It Forward is my way of turning something simple—donating outgrown gear—into real opportunity for other athletes. My goal is to build a student-driven model that can grow with community support and expand into more schools, youth leagues, and recreation centers, so more kids can show up confident, prepared, and ready to play." --Kai Donnelly-Daly
